The Isle of Palms has been a source of amazing family memories since the early 1900s.  Just across from 808 Ocean Boulevard you will find the first house built on the Isle of Palms in 1898 at 807 Ocean Blvd.  Only accessible by ferry, the Isle of Palms thrived though the beginning of the 1930s as the Coney Island of the South.  Just down the beach from 808 Ocean Boulevard in 1912 stood a spacious pavilion, dance hall and Ferris wheel that was brought to the Island from the Chicago Worlds Fair.  In the 1950s the Isle of Palms was at the center of the start of Carolina Beach Music.  Close to 808 Ocean Boulevard stood the famous Surf Deck where groups like The Tamms, The Drifters and James Brown regularly performed.  Where the foot prints of the Ferris Wheel, Pavilion and the Surf Deck have washed away, the memories created by them will live on forever as will your memories while vacationing at 808 Ocean Boulevard.

808 Ocean Boulevard is a very unique home.  From the architecture to the wonderful appointments, there are very few properties on the Island that can equal this amazing property.  808 Ocean is located oceanfront on the Southern side of the Isle of Palms, and a short bicycle ride from the commercial district known as Front Beach.  One of the many great features of the home is the three oceanfront decks.  The second level deck also features an oceanfront screened porch.  From these decks your family will be able to enjoy beautiful views of the swimming pool, beach and ocean while rocking in a chair or simply relaxing in the outdoor living room on the screen porch.  The private swimming pool will be the sight of many of your family memories.  Surrounded by a large pool deck featuring comfortable seating, you will find a refreshing pool with a hot tub.  A peaceful waterfall connects the pool to the hot tub.  A private walkway to the beach, will allow your family to quickly access the ocean.  The beach on the southern side of the Island is actually growing, so finding plenty of room on the sand to set up for the day is never a problem.    808 Ocean also features a gas grill and six beach bicycles for your family to enjoy. 

The interior of 808 Ocean is perfect for large families or couples traveling to the beach.  Each of the six bedrooms features king size beds.  Having a king bed in every bedroom is very unique, and it is doubtful any other home on the Island has a similar offering.  New mattresses, bedding and flat screen televisions were purchased in 2011 throughout the house.   In addition to having a king bed in each bedroom, 808 Ocean has six full private bathrooms.  In supplement the six full bathrooms, this home features three half bathrooms, one just off each living room and pool area.  The master bedroom is located on the third level.  Known as the Eagles Nest, this bedroom offers incredible views of the Atlantic and an enormous private bathroom with a whirlpool bathtub and separate shower. 

 In addition to the fantastic bedding options, 808 Ocean offers plenty of comfortable seating arrangements.  Featuring two living rooms, one on the first and second levels, this great house can easily support different groups getting together to enjoy the football game, Disney Channel, or a game of cards.  Each living room also features a large flat screen television.  The kitchen and dining room will allow your entire family to come together and enjoy dinners as the sound of the ocean is in the background. 

Finally, 808 Ocean Boulevard is only 11miles from downtown Charleston.  It is so convenient to drive downtown, and enjoy what makes the Low Country so much more special than any other coastal community on the East coast.  From reliving epic victories during the Revolutionary War or the War Between the States to the enjoyment one of the countless amazing restaurants, everyone in your family will enjoy Historic Charleston.
