Ideally located close to a beach access path, 309 Charleston is just a short walk to the ocean.  The main home was built in the 1952.  The Island was much different in the 1950s than it is today.  World War II veterans were flocking to the Island as an affordable beach front community and a short drive to Charleston Navy Base.  The Drifters and Tams could be heard at the Surf Deck, located on the Front Beach Isle of Palms just a short bike ride from 309 Charleston.  But one thing that remains special today as it did then is the fact familys love to vacation on the Island and 309 Charleston is the perfect place stay.
