Beachside Vacation Cleaning Standards, COVID-19
The Team at Beachside Vacations has built its reputation on the Isle of Palms for the cleanliness of each vacation rental property. Each of our featured vacation homes have been and will continue to be professionally cleaned with your safety as our top priority. Understanding this unprecedented time, Beachside Vacations has added additional steps to better disinfect and sanitize properties between rental guests. These steps exceed the new City of Isle of Palms Sanitation and Hygiene Ordinance, which can be viewed www.iop.net/covid-19-update-24 and www.iop.net/Data/Sites/1/media/coronavirus-/str-taskforce-standards--finalc-5-8-20.pdf.
Please know that the Beachside Team will specifically be focused on high touch areas, using CDC-recommended chemicals, such as:
- Light Switches
- Remote Controls
- HVAC Control Panels
Finally, all bed linens and towels are laundered offsite by a professional launderer using the correct temperatures with the correct chemical chemistry for property cleaning and sanitization. The Beachside Team has in the past and will continue to pay the extra expense to have all bed linens shrink wrapped before leaving the professional laundry facility minimizing contact.

City of Isle of Palms/Sullivan's Island/South Carolina Updates
The Isle of Palms and Sullivan's Island beaches are open. Beachgoers must practice social distancing and follow other Isle of Palms Beach Rules www.iop.net/beach-rules. The “exercise only” rule on Sullivan's Island beach still applies, and groups should be limited to three people or less, unless immediate family members. www.sullivansisland.sc.gov/news
Some groceries and supplies may be limited on the Island. For the most part, it is not a big deal, but we would recommend purchasing what you can ahead of time to avoid local shortages. A good idea is to use Groceries Ahead so that your groceries are waiting for you in the kitchen when you arrive on the Island.
We continue to recommend practicing safe social distancing as recommended by the CDC and currently required on the beach. Please remember to wash your hands and wear a mask whenever possible.
COVID-19 emergency orders regarding restaurants remain in effect. Most Charleston restaurants offer take-out, outdoor dining and some will begin indoor dining May 11th at 50% capacity.
Confirmed cases of COVID-19 shall be immediately reported to us and local health authorities in accordance with appropriate actions recommended by the CDC.
