Come one, come all, and come hungry! The Charleston Wine + Food Festival is March 4-8, 2020, and many are traveling to Beachside Vacations to join in on the fun. Enjoy everything from brunches, lunches, cooking classes, tasting experiences, and so much more on your South Carolina family vacation.
If you’ve never been to the festival, we’ll offer a little guidance (listed below) on what to expect during your stay in Lowcountry South Carolina!
What to Expect
The Lowcountry South Carolina festival features more than 100 individual culinary experiences that will not only leave you satisfied but will quench your thirst as well. You’ll find everything from fresh cuisine varieties to delicious brews as well as unique cocktails and, of course, wine!
The five-day event takes place between the corner of Calhoun and King streets and features all kinds of flavors from Italian to Greek as well as Southern classics, among many others that will be sure to please every palate. The experiences don’t just stop there; you’ll be able to get involved with hands-on cooking classes as well as craft beverage seminars and workshops.
Opening Night Party
The Charleston food and wine fest kicks off with an Opening Night Party to set you up for all of the fun special events that happen throughout the beginning of March (see this year’s exact dates). The party has live music, tasty bites, curated beers, wine, and the culinary chefs preparing Lowcountry South Carolina inspired dishes.
There’s also an Official Cocktail Competition, which highlights delicious spirit concoctions! The fest is anchored in downtown Charleston in Marion Square, which is referred to as the Culinary Village.
Pro Tip: The Charleston food and wine events sell out fast, which means you’ll want to get tickets for the different activities you’d like to attend as soon as you can! Get a full list of events and tickets at charlestonwindandfood.com/schedule.
